Chipset support for Barcelona?

I'm still chugging along on my AM2 3500+ Orleans (albeit at 2.8 GHz) and was looking to upgrade to an X2 this summer. All this new information on Barcelona has me interested, though. Does anyone have any information on chipset support (namely, nForce 570) and whether a BIOS update can support the new chip, or is it too early to tell?

I suspect that Barcelona will be on a new CPU socket, so it may not be compatitible with you NF5 board.

Well, I've heard that some of the new chips will be released for the AM2 and AM3 (same pin configuration as AM2 but with DDR3 support apparently) sockets, so I was hoping that my chipset would still support the new processors...

AM2+ and AM3 should be pin-compatible with AM2 (and thus, they should work on the same motherboards). As long as there is a BIOS update, you should have no problems running the K10/K8L (Barcelona is the server chip). You'll lose a few benefits from the new architecture, though--HT3 support (useless in single-socket systems), independent PLLs (so power consumption at medium loads will be marginally higher), split powerplanes, etc.
