Chipset fan not working.

I unplugged mine, and no problems for 3 weeks (a p4 overclocked by 25% to 3500). I would personally just leave it alone. If you remove it, you might void the warranty.

Are you having problems, is the heatsink too hot to touch? I would probably replace the fan unless the chipset heatsink not very warm at all.

if you are not bothered about warranty then i would recommend that you just get a passive chipset cooler, the bonus is no noise

I don't really know how hot my heatsink is and the computer been doing fine without the fan working.
