if i am using a nvidia video card.. should i still install the intel graphics chipset drivers? or is the nvidia drivers sufficient?

If you have integrated video disable that in the BIOS.

Nvidia drivers is the only thing you need.

You still need the chipset drivers for your motherboard, regardless of what video card you have.

Note that chipset drivers are not that same as video drivers - there's a big difference between the two.
