Why is it that when buying a new mobo let's say based on VIA KT266A chipset u have to go in VIA and download the latest chipset drivers? Probably because the chipset came out later than WInXP and no drivers are included in the cd or the older ones are not the best as always ok?
And then, how will the mobo work when I install it for the first time in a system with a blank HDD that's gonna have WinXP installed??? Maybe from the cd that comes with it but this will happen after the OS installation. What's gonna show in device manager I wonder..... and how will the system work anyway?
I mean, having installed the ABIT BE-6 with the 440bx was no problem since all the chipset drivers are included in the OS after installing but what's the right sequence of steps I have to follow in this case for a proper mobo and drivers installation??
I know all these might sound a bit foolish but if anyone has some free time I 'd appreciate the help a lot...!!

PS: Are the Intel 850 chipset drivers included in WinXP? Can I check it for myself in my pc? (let's say browsing in a way the XP drivers database?)
