Okay, I found interesting data when looking through Intel's Datasheets. There is one thing in common with the chipset datasheets.
THE HIGH END VERSIONS OF THE CHIPSETS CONSUME THE LEAST POWER.
875 consumes less than 865,
925 consumes less than 915,
955 consumes less than 945.
The difference is around 40 to 60% depending on chipset and configuration. Another thing is that 875-->955 increases power consumption BUT its only around 25%. In the mainstream chipset, 865-->945 is around 40-50%.
So now there IS another bonus to getting higher end chipset.
