Yesturday I was taking my Glaciator HSF of my 1.4 thunderbird whne the clip snapped off and made me almost drop the stuppid 2lb hunk of copper. When doing this i heard a bit of cracking. I take alook at my nakid thunderbird with a big chip off the top right of the core. I was like crap I thought it was definatly dead. So I quickly grabbed my old retail HSF and put it back on my the proc and started her up. IT worked How the heck does that work?

P.S. I heard that AMD XP 1700 T-Bred's don't work right on MSI KT3 motherboards anyone know if thats true. I was thinkming of getting one.

My friend's duron is cracked. Every time he lifts off the heatsink, a little more of the core comes off, but the thing still runs fine

yeah seems to not matter I guess.
So anyone know about the MSI KT3 chip set and 1700 XP T-Breds?
