Never heard of Moe's. Chipotle is OK, not great. The cilantro rice they use could be the nastiest thing ever. But if you get the burritos without it, they are OK. I still prefer the many small authentic Mexican taqueria's around here though.

Side note, the Chipotle website is the WORST website I've ever seen. I went on there to find the number for our local one last night, what a frigging hassle. Too much flash, not enough function.

Chipotle for sure over Moes. When Moes came to Archer (Gainesville, FL), I had it a lot. Then when Chipotle came to town, I found it to be much more enjoyable. I like the flavored rice, the salsas, and the meat. I found Moes to have little taste and became repetitive frequently while Chipotle is always flavorful and better quality on average. I strongly dislike that Burrito Bros place in town. I found their burrito to be lettuce and that was it.

Of course, I loved cosmic and burrito bunker when I was at UNC.
Yeah, I never understood the raves that Burrito Bros got. I ate there a couple times and it was some of the blandest tasting food I ever had.

Moe's is opening all over the place here in Birmingham. There's plans to have roughly 20+ locations within the next year or so.

It's ok, but I personally think it's highly overrated. EXTREMELY bland food IMO. The main thing I do like about it is the size of the burritos (you can eat only half and still have enough for another meal; good for lunches at the office if you have a fridge.) My coworkers love it and eat there religiously, but it's FAR from my first choice.

Have any of you guys been to an authentic Mexican taqueria? That's where it's at.
