Were they on the fround or in the plane when it crashed? I don't read Korean so I wasn't able to tell from the initial link you posted.

That's what it seems to be.

Apparently the plane broke into 3 big pieces. Ouch..

Red, I have no (or very little) problems with your other posts, but people died, man. This isn't some silly skating or dog meat dispute. Have some heart. You got that American flag avatar. How would you feel if I joked about Americans who died in WTC?

Look the joke wasn't about Koreans. If your father or someone you knew had been aboard that flight I wouldn't have said anything excewpt that I was sorry for your loss. If we are going to have to act all depressed everytime there is a tragic accident then we might aw well stop living. Sorry about not being Politically Correct. Hmm on second thought no I'm not.

First of all, I didn't say that you should be depressed.
Second, I mentioned Koreans since you mentioned Jay Leno, which I took that it was either directed towards me being Korean or the plane crashing in Korea.
Finally, I don't care if you're sorry or not. I was merely suggesting that you don't make such jokes because I didn't find it appropriate for this thread.

If an American Airline filled with 200 American passengers crashed in BC somewhere, and I made a joke similar to yours in the thread, do you think that I will not get any reactions from a single American (or anybody) in this forum? That was my point.

And my statement wasn't directed at (only) you, but I was a bit ticked off to see people laughing at some joke at a thread that talks about people who died in my home country. Wouldn't you be?

Yeah, if the joke was funny I would have laughed. Of course there would have been a school marm or two who would have complained but that would have made the joke even funnier to me.

No offence joohang, but whether you thought it was appropriate or not never was a consideration. In fact this isn't the first time that jokes been used in this Forum. I read it the first time when someone posted link to a Mad Onion article that was written when that Airliner went down in the Florida Swamp and rescuers had to dig the bodies and fuselage up out of the muck and I've used in on a couple of occasions in this Forium since. It's called dark or black humor.

Fair enough. I suppose that I'm just not used to such type of humour.

I made my point. You made your point. Time to move on, I guess.
