Chinese Military Chess(might be another country, not sure)

I used to play this with someone and never had a chance to ask where to get it... AFAIK that's what it's called. It's a game that resembles stratego and is 4 players. Thanks

As far as I know Chinese Chess Looks like this and is 2 players

That looks pretty similar to what I played, but not quite the same. It was like 4 of those blocks with lines in the middle of the board with the 4 squares surrounding it. There were also many more pieces, enough to pretty much fill up your square.. maybe it was korean?

EDIT: Actually it is probably chinese, some of the characters on those pieces you showed me look similar to those I played with.

When I was in Taiwan, I purchase lots of games because I'm a board game type of person. I got some that looks like Monopoly.

And I have one that was described to me as "Army board game" that plays like Stratego with plastic pieces. and pictures of various ranks. With a thin piece of paper as the "board"

I also have one that was described to me as "3 branches of the arm forces game" which is similar to the above game but with all 3 branches.

Then there's some sort of game using similar rules like above but with pictures of animals.... "battles of the zoo?"

Really now, I wasn't trying to assert that I knew everything asian, because obviously, I don't know what game he's talking about.
