Is Diablo 3 still separating the game into "Regions" then? I wasn't aware, but it sounds like even though you may play in different regions the Auction House is universal?

Oh no, the world is gonna end!

Are you gonna be playing on Chinese servers? Cause farmers on Chinese servers are only gonna be selling stuff on Chinese servers.

I guess they can get some practice in on the later acts before everyone else though.

Nope, the AH is not universal...different AH for each region and different for hardcore vs. softcore players.

Will it be different for ladder vs nonladder as well?

Are there ladder vs non ladder characters? I don't think so, because from all the reading I've done on D3, I've never seen characters differentiated in that way. I've not kept up with it the past few months nearly as much, so maybe I just always miss that conversation?

Edit: heck it doesn't matter anyways. Talk about a meaningless differentiation if you could sell non ladder drops to a ladder character. So even if there were ladder and non ladder, common sense answers that question. Pretty sure there's not though.

Um, it matters a lot. One of the biggest reasons as to why it takes people so long to get to level 99 is because they have to find the good lewt!

Who will be the first to conquer inferno?

Whatever it is, definitely chinese. World 1st Yogg-Saron +0 kill was chinese, and the only reason they aren't world 1st in everything is because chinese WoW patches are super-delayed compared to US/EU which makes the feat even more spectacular when it happens.

actually it has nothing to do with the loot in D2 and everything to do with the amount of EXP you need per level once you hit 90

I remember in D2 it took awhile to get to 99 because you had to stay alive while killing cows or other baddies that could easily kill you (then it switched to baal/diablo later on in the patches). First you had the xp penalties, so you could only get real xp from monsters within your level (+/-5) and second, there weren't alot of monsters to kill besides cows/diablo/baal/and a couple unique monsters. Then if you died, that would set you back a few days of grinding.

Far as I know once the expansion hit the best way to go for XP was generally just spamming Baal runs.

Getting the right gear to grind the level 90+ stuff is actually a big problem... I know. I played a few seasons of Diablo 2.

Who cares though. There's not one interesting class to play anyways. Let the farmers have at it.
