Chinese characters not displaying

I downloaded QQ (kind of like AIM, popular in China) and all the characters show up as question marks. I turn on NJStar and I still can't get the characters. Is there a way to get them to display?

Go into your Regional/Language Options, click the last tab, and change the Unicode setting to Chinese (PRC) or Chinese (HK).
