This past week I was getting some work done on my kitchen. So I hit the three chinese lunch buffets in town. Two of them cost 6 bucks, the other 7.10.
By the time I get home I can barely waddle thru the door. And I find I am not hungry til 9 pm.
I think I could live quite nicely on 6 bucks a day for awhile if I had to. Granted the food was full of salt and fat, but mmmmm tasty. And since they have a nice variety of deep fried foods, not hungry again after an hour.

we have 2 buffets in our town, which is  because theres only like 6K people here, anyway they both have great food, especially for 7$ or whatever it costs

one of them you can get buffet to go, they charge you by the pound, pretty sweet deal actually

I'm usually game for the bottomless bins of crabmeat rangoon. I'll eat my entry fee in that alone. Anything else is just a bonus.

I love me some chinese buffet but it's a 50/50 crap shoot on food poisoning. Nothing is ever properly heated or cooled on the buffet.

their red curry is transcendent and the place is CLEAN!
ive seen into the kitchen briefly, it looks spotless in there.
the tables dont have that Chinese buffet sticky/greasy film on them.
i love the thai buffet!

You ate at 3 in one day or over 3 days? In general I think buffets are bad. They have to make $$ on you and therefore use cheap, fatty ingredients and large recipes. I would sooner eat a single, well-prepared and portioned dish. I am trying to wean myself off the habit of eating until I am overstuffed as well, so buffets are not my first choice of restaurant.

QFT, and the painful case of stingring that follows.
