Chinchilla playground

Hey, I need some help specing out materials for a small project.

We got a chinchilla thats about the size of a fat rabbit. This little furrball is fast as anything and is just begging to run around. Unfortunately, its been copped up in a cage since day 1. We're thinking of building a playground of pipes and planes suspended from our cieling and walls (2+1 apartment). The idea is that the pipes would interconnect 3 or 4 cubes all fixed above the living room.

So far I've only been able to find white pvc piping and piping with diameters too small for the chinchilla's future growth. Does clear pvc piping exist? I don't know why it would; who wants to look at sewage flow!? But I thought I would ask.

Instead of using clear pvc piping, what other material could I use to interconnect the cubes but also let us see the critter run around?

What is the best/economical method to suspend things from cielings (particularly pipes and cubes of course)? I am planning to just use book shelf L-supports to prop up either some of the pipes or cubes from the walls. Is there something else better for the walls?

I'm not sure how much we plan to spend, but the cheaper the better. Well, I know this is a wierd post, so thanks in advance for any help.

i saw a tv show where people built planks for their cats. they had holes cut in the top part of the walls that led to other ramps. it was pretty crazy if you want to use planks instead of pvc.

they have clear dryer hose???

hmm...planks!... thanks! damn, i didn't meant to ryhme right there. But yeah..planks would difinitely be cleaner looking too.
