Hopefully, the protesters will not be seriously hurt if they discover who did it. But, I have a feeling that Twitter is about to get smacked inside Mainland China's borders.
Those students really have Spring Spheres of colorful steel to do something like this. I applaud their desire for freedom and realization that The Great Firewall is not there to "protect them" from the ills of pornography, non-state news media, "Western Propaganda," and historical accounts from every country in the world that differ from North Korea and mainland China's own accounts.Fang Binxing, the designer of what is being called China’s Great Firewall, did some lecturing at Wuhan University, Hubei province. A protest broke out during his lecture and this is when the attack happened.

The Great Firewall limits thousands of websites, including those about the Dalai Lama and the Falun Gong spiritual movement, from Internet users in China.
It filters out keywords on topics that have been deemed sensitive like Tibet or Liu Xiaobo and many, many more.
China’s government is serious about censorship and controlling the Internet in their country. They have even set up a State Internet Information Office.
