For my next stop I wanted to visit a dog meat restaurant, but finding one proved trickier than I had imagined.

"Isn't there one behind the Korean embassy?" I asked.

actually, they dont. they are animals. and even if they did, whatya want me to do? become a vegitarian???

I don't see the difference between eating dogs and eating cows. Some people develop close connections to either species, while some eat either species. If I had a chicken for a pet and loved it, is it wrong for you to raise chickens in tiny crowded little cages, kill them and eat them? If you are vegetarian and are against killing animals for food, then that is another story.

i agree, animals are here for us to eat
but i think dogs are much too intelligent a species to be considered anything other than pet material
yes dogs are intelligent, and its believed they evolved from the same dog-like species that dolphins evolved from.. also an intelligent animal
chickens on the otherhand = dumb..... same with cows and horses... horses are elegant, but not exactly the brainiest of the bunch
eat cows, eat chicken, eat pig... the american way
(j/k)

I'm pretty sure that dogs are much closer to horses than dolphins. Just because two animals are both very intelligent doesn't mean they evolved from the same ancestor species. Also, how do you judge if dogs are smarter than cows or horses? You can try using brain size to body ratio, but by that account some birds are smarter than humans. Also, since intelligence is so hard to measure and tends to be a range rather than discrete, what is the limit at which we should not eat them? And who gets to decide that and why?
Exactly. cherishing one's own dog as his or her pet is one thing, but pushing the agenda to demand absoulte respect for them from everyone else is a whole different story. Who are you to judge which spicies has more value to its life? Perhaps being judgemental towards different types of spiecies has a certain connection with the mindset that leads to ethnic cleansing :roll:not to mention, if intelligence is the measure of what we can or can't eat, why don't we eat mentally retarded people?
