China revokes three Wall Street Journal reporters' credentials

China has revoked the press credentials of three journalists with the Wall Street Journal after the newspaper declined to apologize for a column with a headline calling China the "real sick man of Asia," the foreign ministry said on Wednesday.

The reason the Chinese authorities revoked their credentials is because of a story that appeared in the WSJ titled "China is the Real Sick Man of Asia". The Chinese wanted an apology because they felt it was racist and anti-Chinese. I read the article and it reads more like an opinion paper ... but it is definitely not racist. It takes many jabs at the ruling party's ability to manage the country ... something the communist party loathes.
