The reason the Chinese authorities revoked their credentials is because of a story that appeared in the WSJ titled "China is the Real Sick Man of Asia". The Chinese wanted an apology because they felt it was racist and anti-Chinese. I read the article and it reads more like an opinion paper ... but it is definitely not racist. It takes many jabs at the ruling party's ability to manage the country ... something the communist party loathes.
