All downhill from here

"China's population fell last year for the first time in six decades, a historic turn that is expected to mark the start of a long period of decline in its citizen numbers with profound implications for its economy and the world.

The country's National Bureau of Statistics reported a drop of roughly 850,000 people for a population of 1.41175 billion in 2022, marking the first decline since 1961, the last year of China's Great Famine."

"Long-term, U.N. experts see China's population shrinking by 109 million by 2050, more than triple the decline of their previous forecast in 2019."

China's covid disaster, from what I understand, is because China refused to use the vaccines used in America i.e. Moderna, Pfizer, and instead used some vaccine made in China. Their people are dying but remember, China has always been pro population control. Back in the old days the female newborn was considered a burden on society while the male child had productive value. Productive value as a worker and serving in the military. So the female Chinese newborn was euthanized. Is it any wonder that todays China would allow covid to take the lives of the Chinese elderly? The old folks? Get rid of those old folks who are no longer productive citizens by allowing them to die from covid and deny the citizenry vaccines which actually work.
Is this so surprising?

This is how dictatorships work, and Donald Trump wants to be our dictator. ;)

Musk is freaking out lol

Honestly the Earth is not supporting the population it has. Perhaps it could if wealth and resources were distributed more equally, but until the rich and those in control want to spread it around, we don't need more and more people.

I support population decline until these rich assholes run out of labor to exploit.

Plus we will probably crack some major milestones in aging in the next decade. I know it sounds crazy, but I believe we will start to see deaths to natural causes decline over the next decade and really slow down after that. Science fiction. Or is it?
