The video means nothing unless we know the speed of the impact. What kind of car was it.. besides Chinese, technically most of our cars are made in china :p

Neat, the airbag got out of the way and saved itself.

This is a landwind SUV, some cheap chinese knockoff copy of a Isuzu Rodeo.

After further review, that airbag sure inflated late.

The airbag did not really matter because the steering wheel shot through the dashboard to impale the crash test dummy in the head. Instant death even with a properly deflating airbag.

Interesting point. Since most buisness in China have a portion of it under the ownership of the goverment, prehaps poorly designed cars are their way of dealing with the population issue they are facing. Just a thought and not my belief.

OK maybe so for now fvcktard but Im sure that will change at some point. Still an American company is sinking 3 billion dollars into an Communist country, I find that hard to swallow when they have troubles right here, but somehow have 3 billion to spend in China.

I really don't think that car in the video did bad in the crash testbecause it was built by the Chinese. It did bad because it was designed by the Chinese.

I doubt there will be major issues with the Cadillac beyond what you'd see here in the States.

"We halted production of Cadillac in China mostly to adjust to new auto policies released earlier this year," said Chen. Under the new policy, Cadillac cars made in China would not meet the standard of domestically made cars that used exported auto parts including engines and mechanical systems.

From that statement, sounds like they are making cars that sucked really bad and couldnt even sell them in China.

Every time I see that video I shudder. Instant death from a 40 mph crash is pretty fscking pathetic if you ask me.
