China against war in Iraq!

China isn't as vocal as france and germany and russia but they've called for more inspections and are fairly firm with that.

China is extremely worried about the destabilizing effect a war in Iraq may have on Pakistan. If Nuclear Pakistan falls to Islamic Extremist both India and China, along with Israel, would be Targets for their continued Jihad... or at least that's rumored to be China's thinking.

Saddam is by no means a "fundamentalist Islamic leader" -- he's a dangerous nut, a dictator and a tyrant, but religious Islamic fervor is not one of his traits.

Hussien isn't a Fundie and his country isn't the Nuclear threat that Pakistan is or would be to China if Extremists were to take control of the Pakistan Government.

I'm also sure that China wouldn't be too thrilled about us having such a large Military Presence in the Area eiither.

Saddam saved up 50 or so quarts of his own blood and then copied over the Qur'an with his own blood...sounds like a fundy to me. I think China would be more apprehensive about our presence in North Korea than they would of Iraq.

Regarding Hussien, I only know what I read about him. Most reports are that he uses Islam to promote his agenda and that his agenda is not to promote Islam. He is also the most prolific killer of Muslims this word have ever witnessed and was/is about as blood thirsty about it as the Christian Crusaders were.

Different sects of Islam. Saddam is Sunni, most of the militant Islamic fundies are Shi'ite.
 
This is not news. We've always known that China would never support any action against Iraq. Saddam could appear on Al-Jazeera TV juggling three beakers labelled "anthrax", "botulinum toxin" and "smallpox" while chanting "Death to America!" repeatedly and China still would sedately ask for more inspections. If anything their opposition to war would actually *grow* if more evidence of Iraqi WMDs came out.

Well....I'm neither arrogant nor stupid and it really doesn't matter what China thinks. They can complain all they want. Just because they have nukes doens't mean their opinion really matters. They don't have fully functional delivery systems to get them to the US and if they even fired one anywhere they would basically be signing their death warrant. The US benefits from tons of low quality products from China.....but it would survive without China. China on the other hand relies heavily on their exports to the US......so maybe you shouldn't be so a rrogant or stupid.
