Back in the 80's and 90's the overwhelming conventional wisdom was not if, but when the Japanese economy would grow past the USA. We all know what happened-but at least Japan has had not a collapse, but instead a plateau. These days the overwhelming consensus is that China will dethrone the USA. I've been seeing a number of videos that counter that view, and they seem to present a solid, albeit a scary one for world stability.
For one thing, most private wealth (75%) in China is in real estate, and that sector seems to be a huge bubble that is already starting to collapse.
Local and regional governments in China are also hurting per this video (but a good counterargument may be that most of the US state governments are in a perpetual state of near financial collapse):
Finally is the real eye opener to me. Apparently the corruption within the Chinese military closely is so bad it may make Russia look look small:

Part of what was so shocking to me in the last video is how little control Xi has over the military. He has made a major effort to clean house for a decade or more but still has a long way to go-if he can hold onto power.
I don't pretend to be an expert in China watching, Any thoughts?
