chilling with my NVMe

Searching for a cooling device for my NVMe drive. It's mounted to a vertical expansion card plugged into a DDR4 slot.
Not sure if there's anything on the market suited to that type of mounting scenario. See pic.

Even just a heat spreader might satisfy me.

Hmmm. Maybe a memory fan on the adjacent RAM slots would side-pressure some airflow to the nearby NVMe.

I welcome your suggestive comments. ;)

Thermal tape and universal VRM-style heat sinks?
The square doodads? hmm, tiny

Something like this should work as long as their enough space between the drive and the motherboard capacitors:

I own this one (a little bit bigger than some coolers): https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Aluminum-Heatsink-Multiple/dp/B07B6BB4PZ

A cheaper and smaller option that seems to have good reviews: https://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Heatsinks-Silicone-Radiation-Dissipate/dp/B078X8WCY2

Thanks for linking the examples.
Yeah I don't know how robustly mounted the extension card is long term, so I'm wary of strapping a hefty heat sink to it. But yeah, what you link to could work - they're not as bulky as I imagined.
Some of those sinks incorporate a 20mm fan .

I don't know how common my nvme mount configuration is. I figured none of the coolers were tested on configurations like mine - so I was gravitating toward the lightweight ones. Maybe I'm overthinking this and it doesn't matter.

The one's I tried really aren't heavy. They're aluminum, so I have zero concerns about that.

In fact, I broke one of the Silverstone silicone bands when putting it on one side, so I simply cut a thin strip of electrical tape and wrapped it around there. It's still on there very tight holding it, so the weight doesn't even stress something like that.

I don't think you need one with a fan, as the passive coolers take care of any heat concerns, and even my hot 970 EVO Plus (which has the cooler on it), tops out at something like 57c degrees. Before I put it on there, I think it was hitting like 76c if really pushed.

Interesting. That's relevant info there. Thankity thanks. I have the 970 EVO Plus too - just haven't powered it up yet, so I don't know what temps to expect.
But ambient air temps in my pc room could break 90°F this summer, which may be hotter than your environment. Hmm. I know various pc components - e.g. PSUs, monitors - are only specced to 104°.
I'm mostly concerned for my new NVMe and my new monitor (though it's not 4k).
