i used about 2.5 lbs of meat (75% or so stuff, it can be drained)
2 yellow onions
2 16 oz cans of tomatoes
2 cans of beans
3/4 oz of cayenne powder
1/2 oz of chili powder
some cumin powder
some black pepper

WITHOUT beans.

i made a huge batch of chilie for the superbowl party i had. over 4lbs of meat! it didnt last long either heh.

Just ate some cassoulet.
Beans with 2 kinds of sausage, pork, duck and lamb. Yummy.

Nothing to do with chilli though.

I like both....but my wife prefers without...which means I usually make without.

I do have a pretty good recipe, but no real measurements. I just add the seasoning in layers (once with meat, another time after tomatoes, and one last time after it's been cooking a while). I do like to add serranos to my chili for that extra flavor.

I do prefer a thick chili, no a soupy one.
