Being the coolest uncle since Herr Drosselmeyer, I am bringing my niece a CD of songs I think she will enjoy. She already has most of the standard children?s fair, Bob the Builder, Sesame Street, Raffi, etc?.
I try to give her some new stuff too, like:
Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) ? Wild World, Peace Train, Moon Shadow
10CC ? The Things We Do For Love
Buckweat Zydeco ? Don?t Mess With My TooT Toot

Got any more ideas?

yeah, there was an album or so of covers of those, too. all very good as well, some with original vocalists.

they might be giants have tons of songs good for kids. including an entire album entitled "No!"

if kiddie music is still ok..

look at tom chapin..
look at kenny loggin's kiddie stuff..
cheech marin's stuff.. it's pretty amusing.
but.. look at tom chapin, if she doesn't have that already.. it's my favorite.

um.. paul simon's st. judy's comet

whoever it is that did swinging from a star and whoever else it is that did the rubber tree plant song originally.. perry como did one of 'em..

how old is she? eh.. she'll like those.
