children deprived of GOOD cartoons today

has any notice that all the good cartoons for children are all gone. i mean all you see now is just fighting shows. batman, power rangers, pokemon, mib, action man. whatever happened to those good ol cartoons like smurfs, ducktales, carebears, talespin, chipmunks, loony toons, tiny toons, chip n dales, rescue rangers, etc. (i know there's a bunch more, can't think right now). things that taught kids some morals and values. espcially shows like sesame street, mr rogers, and reading rainbow. i grew up on these shows. i'm not saying what they have on are not good. i mean i still cartoons everyday.

*sigh*

Chip and Dale are two crazy chipmunks.

Chippendale's is an establishment where women pay men to dance around in thongs or less.

To be honest, the only cartoon you listed that WASNT violent (albeit a much more subtle violence, with the exception of Loony Toons and Tiny Toons) is Carebears, and even THAT wasnt completely devoid of violence or violent intent.

And who WOULDNT want their kid to grow up with the single-minded drive and superior intellect of Batman?!?!

but i mean those cartoons compared to what's showing today. i can barely think of any cartoons without the main plot being, destory the bad guy. i mean they even stopped howing winnie the pooh. but i never really liked that.

carebears was tight
i remember on some station, they showed 4 cartoons after school. every year, 1 cartoon would go and a new one would come in its place. from what i remember, the 1st year was gummibears, ducktales, chip n dales rescue rangers, then talespin.
the next year gummibears got dropped, and i think it was goof troop that was added, cant quite remember. then bonkers. then darkwing duck. thats about the time i stopped watching. anyone remember the station?

toon disney??? never heard of it. i only have the disney channel is that the same thing? but never seen those cartoons on the disney channel.

amdforlife if you're from southern california then it was KCAL 9.

Cartoon Network has some really good originals like Jonny Bravo, Ed, Edd, & Eddy, and all the good classic Lonny Toons, Tom & Jerry, ect......

I am a 25 yr old that religiously watches cartoons!😛

If you want to hook your children to a 24/7 live feed of only Disney movies and cartoons, be my guest, but allow me to pity your children.

FYI there's no conspiracy to turn children into bloodthirsty, love-desensitized beings. The media are simply providing children with what they and their parents want. If people don't watch those cartoons, they'll disappear. They control the media, not the other way around.
