how exactly do i purchase cases from their warehouse? I'm going back to San Jose soon for spring break, and was planning on picking one of these babies up.... do they have a store inside the warehouse or something?

also, how much is the antec1030B case there? the one with the door, barebones.

do they sell additional parts as well? i.e. the side panel with a pre cut hole?

thanks

Chenming is the actual manufacturer of "Antec" cases. They make these cases and sell them to Antec, Chieftec and Enermax. I never knew they had a warehouse in San Jose though.

Dang, I was in San Jose a little while ago and didn't know it was there. You can buy directly at the warehouse?

There has been a couple threads on this in the last few months, but I can't seem to find them. If I remember correctly, they'll except cash payment for the cases. It's just a warehouse in an industrial park. They don't have a store front. YMMV so you might want to call ahead of time. Contact info can be found here.

ummm... yeh... but for the people who have actually purchased the cases from the warehouse, where exactly do you go to tell tehm you want to buy one? do you just approach some random worker or something?

and can you buy an extra door with a precut hole?

LOL, I can see it now:

AnandTech reader: "Hey mon, you work here, right?"

Worker: "Who wantsta know, eh?"

AnandTech reader: "Look, I hear there are ;)good deals;) available here... you hook me up, hmmm?"

Worker: "Maybe I can help you, maybe I can't. What's it worth to ya?"

AnandTech reader (slips $5 bill to worker): "I'm interested in, you know... the big one wit de door on it... no guts, I got my own at home, yeah."

Worker: "Go on back and knock on the third door on the left, they got what you need. ;)"

:D

And anyone who goes there, find out if they gots a microATX SX-series case, eh mon? ;) I wants ta know! :D

ymmv definately.. i went and they wouldnt sell to me.. they have a front receptionist area where they have the cases laid out on the floor.. asian lady asked for a reseller license.. i told her that a friend just bought some there a few weeks ago.. told her the name of the receptionist mentioned in a thread, she sorta hesitated asking me which case i was looking for.. said the sx1030 equiv. she said it was OOS so i left.. went to central computers in newark instead and got the antec sx1030 for $95 + tax. good luck..

yeh, i went to central computers the other day... enermax case with PS too.... 90 bucks or something to that effect.... damn tempting. I think i might just order the barebones case from newegg.... 20 bucks is more than worth my time driving to union city and having the possibility of being denied.

i dont think they do small orders like that... ive contacted them about a black sx830 and parts replacement... but theyve always pointed me to someone else... which is kinda dumb because the reason im going to them is because that "someone else" they're pointing me to doesnt have them. they told me i wanted to order a black 830 i wouldve have to order a crate of it... which holds like 200 cases or some sort. Uhhh... yah. too bad though... if i did need 200 cases they said i could pretty much customize the case all i want... :( ...just like what Alienware did with their little name in front.

walk right in the front door, maybe right around closing time, and ask if you can buy one case to whoever's working in the front. bring cash, leave with case :)
