Hello!
I have a Chieftec APS-500S Psu which i use on an older P4 2.4 GHz S478 PC
This morning i've turned on the PC and after an hour some problems appeared:

all the components were receiving power (HDDs, coolers, even the CPU cooler etc) but it seems that the MB and/or CPU it's not powered.

i've tried tu turn it OFF and ON again but it's the same...

also with the PSU turned off the 5V SB is working (mouse and NIC are powered)

...and i know it's the PSU's fault because i've changed it and all is working...

as the PSU is out of warranty can you please tell me if this is something that could/worth be fixed!?

Only if you know how to test components with an ohm meter and how to solder, but do not perform any tests or repairs with the PSU plugged into an AC socket. The voltage inside a PSU can be double the AC voltage and at least as lethal. Never operate a PSU except from a grounded AC socket and with the case completely assembled (all screws installed).
