Chieftec front panel! ARGH!

Hey there,

I have a Chieftec Dragon case and an Intel D865PERL board. For some reason when I connect the front panel plugs into the board, I can't get all the lights to work. Sometimes the Power LED doesnn't work...but now its the HD LED. I don't understand how I'm supposed to hook them up, because the Intel board manual says that the Power LED is two plugs, but mine is three. The board has a seperate 3-pin slot, so I hooked it in there. It works. But now the HD LED won't! Argh!!!

The board has the 9-pin setup with a blank 10th pin.

Thanks!!!!

Try flipping them around. Unlike the switch headers, LEDs only work one way.

best advice ever! my power LED refused to go on, fliped the header and it went on. thanx!

Glad I could be of assistance. Now, about my fee.....

🙂
