are the old cheiftec dragon cases still good by todays standards? the egg has them of around 50 bucks now and is a steal. is it worth buying? if not what are some of todays great cases?

i'm getting ready to replace mine with a super lanboy. the 5x fans are nice i guess, but too loud. and the thing is heavy, make sure you get the aluminum version if you get one. however it's got tons of space, i wish they'd update it with 120mm fans.

I have a watercooled Lian Li PC65 right now. I miss my old Chieftec Dragon, it would be very 'watercooling friendly'.

I think they're still good, but I wish they'd update the design with 2 120mm fans instead of 4-5 80mm fans. I have an Antec Plusview1000AMG, and it's basically a Chieftec with a slightly modified front bezel, and I just got it a few months too. It's loud and heavy for sure, but it does its job.

Here you go. They can get pretty expensive though (can reach up to 200 bucks) but they look real nice and the mods look pretty slick. I haven't tried them myself though, with 200 bucks I'd just go with a V1000.

I love my dragon case. The only case i would get as a replacement right now is the coolermaster stacker.
4 Panaflo case fans and a 92mm panaflo CPU fan. Case is running EXTREMELY quiet :)

I just bought a Tsunami case... I paid less for the dragon case like 2years ago than this TT tsunami.. I wish I just bought a new dragon case.. I dunno... the dragon is just so damn built good... the tsunami is soooo light.. when I took it out of the packaging I thought it would fall apart.. lol..

isn't that the whole point of getting an aluminum case?
