Chieftec Dragon owners: will this fit?

I've got a Chieftec Dragon case on the way, and I need to order a controller for the fans. I found a 5.25 bay controller that I particularly like, but I'm concerned that the knobs on the controller will prevent the drive bay door from closing. I know, the photos on that page aren't ideal, but I had an even harder time finding a photo of the Dragon that showed me what I needed to see; specifically, I need to know how much room there is between the drive bays and the door.

Are there any Dragon owners here? Have you experienced any problems installing devices like this? How much space would you estimate there to be between the door and the drive bays?

Also, on a related note: I'll be using fans with LED lights; the fan controller, which I assume just uses variable resistors, will therefore also dim the LEDs, right? Is it possible to damage LEDs by doing this?

i have vantec nexus controllers, they fit... knobs probably stick out about the same. not that it matters since you can alter mounting depth a little anyways. screwholes on the slidy thing

I'd say it should. If not but you want to keep the face flush then you can alwasy just shave down the knobs or get shorter knobs.

Thanks for the responses. I just ordered the thing, so I'll soon have a definite answer one way or another.

How 'bout my second question?

well whether it uses pwm like the vantec nexus or normal resistors, doesn't matter. leds only die from over driving. leds dim with less power.

watch the standard voltage of the fans though. Most are 12v bu, if you get a 5v led lighted fan then putting 12v on it will kill them. so, watch what fan you get and if you do get a 5v you will have to replace the resisitors.

I found my 5v fan that I was thinking of, it is out of a very, very old HP. so yeah don't worry about it.
