Thanks :)

So it´s nothing scecial, but good enough. Maybe it´s similar to Thermaltake GX1?

It's exactly the same as a GX1. You you go with which ever is cheaper and/or has better warranty.

It's definitely not a "bomb", though. Pretty solid for it's price point.

Thanks :)

The price for 500W-versions is not really different, less than 1€. But TT have more connectors than Chieftec.

Off-topic, but do you know any details about the Cooler Master Reactor Series? Also CWT? CM used a lot of OEMs in the PSUs, I remember Acbel, Enhance, FSP, Seventeam (still exist?)

Never heard of Elite caps, not sure about reliability.

After this info I check a price compair and found this

The print colors are a bit different, the reactor is much cheaper and better available

I saw some reviews of the MWE Gold but looks like nobody knows the OEM.

Elite capacitors are about as good as you can get without having caps made in Japan, Indonesia, etc.

They're a Taiwanese company and use Japanese materials (i.e. aluminum). In fact, they make a lot of "Japanese brand" caps in China under contract.

I'd take them over a Teapo.

Thanks for the info

Now I´m a bit confused, I read a lot of reviews of PSUs (at least the ones which are in my price/power-class) and never saw Elite caps before. Teapo is often to find and have not a bad reputation, even the different series with different prices/quality.

I know that japanese companies let manufacture in China, but this don´t means all products have the same quality ;)

Probably because Elite is not "cheap" as far as Chinese caps go. A company either goes for Japanese (marketing preference) or cheap (not Elite) and therefore Elite is overlooked.

If I were to spec a PSU for "Japanese quality capacitors" and only Elite were available, I would allow Elite to be used.

Never saw that spec ;)

I guess there a two big themes with PSUs

1. Caps (also some brands mention "All japanese caps")
2. Single or Multirail (Neverending story)

I don´t care much about Single or Multirail because i had never issues about that. And none of my PSUs explode or burned so far, even the cheap ones I had before 2007.

But reading a review and see the PSU uses good caps like Panasonic, Rubycon, Nippon Chemicon gives me a better feeling than Capxon or Su´scon.
