I have this case. I am considering the following fan configuration;

Front intake two quad blue LED 80 mm fans in the stock fan holders. 32.5 cfm, 1.68 watts, at 28 dBA, rear exhaust same fans (also in the stock fan holders). Side intake blowing onto cards etc... either a 92 mm quad blue LED fan 49 cfm, 2.8 watts at 34 dBA or the above mentioned 80mm. Top, blowhole 120 mm quad blue LED fan 69.15 cfm, 4.8 watts at 39 dBA.

Is the 92 mm side intake necessary or overkill?

Is the top 120 mm necessary or overkill?

Would I be better putting an 80 in place of the 92 mm side?

Would I be better putting a 92 in place of the 120mm?

I will be putting them all on the Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller.

I will probably be overclocking the CPU, other then it being an AMD Athlon XP im not sure what speed.

Thanks for the help

you can't have too many fans, well maybe.

I have the same case, 2 80mm exhaust on top, 2 80mm intake on right side, 1 80mm intake on left, modded the bottom front into a 92mm intake.so I got a total of 10 case fans. Did it for fun, got some nice temps awhile back, but now, I just leave the case open 'cause I'm too lazzy to rewire some of the stuff. i was controlling it them with a 4 port rheobus and 4 port bay bus.

when I'm done with my acrylic cube, I'm gonna design a new case to replace the good 'ol antec. i'm gonna design it for watter cooling.

Ok sorry but im havin a senior moment tryin to picture where your fans are placed,

My case has two spots on the back below the power supply, one slot in the front mounted in one of the hard drive brackets, one mounted i the front of the case below the hard drive bracket and I want to cut a hole in the side window and in the top for additional fans.

Do you by any chance have pics of where your fans are?

Thanks

sorry, no pics,
just imagine it's your case. directly on top, 2 80mm fans.
front, 1 fan in each hdd case.. and the bottom one is modded to take a 92mm fan
if you're looking at case from the left side, next to the mobo, behind the hdd case, there's 2 more 80mm fans.
and one more 80mm fan mounting on the window blowing on to the agp slot. and the 2 fans under the PS.

I got the same case (only in silver). I know it comes with two rear exhaust fans and the side fan. I should probably have an intake fan in the front too right? I don't know too much about cooling I just started building PCs about...four days ago :D

A front intake is a good idea. The case I have has spots for two, one built into one of the HDD cages and one below them. Im going to put fans in both of them.

This is the right place to learn about building PCs and the Tech Support is free.....

heres some pix:

side w/case closed
case open ~ looking front
case open ~ looking back

the 92mm gives great flow over your vid card and just more air in general.

the vantecs are loud but give great airflow

i used to have 2 med speeds up front, but one in front, the vantecs in back, and the side fan suck enough air through, it seems, to loose 1 up front in the HDD bracket.

i think, tho, all this noise is gonna make me go to watercooling real soon :D...
