Aluminum, fits DX series cases. A reviewer at Newegg says that it works with his Antec case as well.

I have a silver case, but this seemed like too good of a deal to pass up. A can of spray paint, some tape, and plastic bag can fix that color problem.

I ordered one for the hell of it. I have the Antec SX1040B and thought that I'd give it a shot for $7 shipped. Everyone seems to be commenting about the series II cases, so maybe it's a direct fit for my case. Even if the black is a little off, it should be ok. Anything to make this beast of a case lighter without making it flimsy.

Thanks for posting this.

Just gave this a shot. I have the behemoth of a SX1040B as well. I don't see why this wouldn't fit.

I bought some transparent blue paint today with the intent of painting part of my window. Now I don't have to worry about screwing things up as much.

Didn't see any, but I believe the window is acrylic if you want to try and cut your own hole.

This place says that with the side fan on the panel it hurts the airflow. I find that the video is cool down a bit. Anyone has good experience with the side blow hole? I got a metal panel with the blow hole on the side right now.

Thanks.

Same case here. Post your results when you get it and let us know. Newegg seems to have a lot of them so I think I'll let you guys be the guinea pigs before I order ;)

I found this one for $10 shipped.
Heh.. I would've gotten the Antec side panel for $3 more shipped. Too bad it's out of stock now.

Bad Dude: Was it out of stock when you found it? If so, good luck getting it back in stock. I believe that it's a discontinued item.

The only problem that I see is that the black might not match perfectly because the Antec case was a gray/black and the Chieftec cases were more black/black if I can recall.

I already have one of these. Thinking about buying a second. If you turn it upside down, can it be installed on the right side? Then the case will be see-thru in a few places.

No b/c there's no latch on the other side of the case.

Ordered this item, Dec 25th 3 a.m. Paid $5.00 for shipping from Newark, NJ. Expect to receive it from FedEx this Wednesday, Dec31.

You're right about the color, panel is black (Chieftec) not charcoal black (Antec).

Found this item by "accident" (All Products, Chieftec) last Tuesday night looking for a case. Ordered one thinking it was a price mistake. Other places sell this for $29 + shipping. Got a shipping confirmation the next day. To bad they charge $5.00 for this item.

Just tried it. The latch is on the door, but when you try to put it on the other side the latch interferes with the mobo mounting plate, not enough clearance for the latch to engage the flange.

Got mine today. Definitely Black and aluminum (SPX-02).
Probably the reason Newegg is selling this for $2.00. Pics. Easily fixed with pliers. :)

somehow i have the feeling that the side fan was just blowing the hot vid card air right over the m/b sensor:p i doubt a side intake disturbs airflow.
