Are there any drawbacks? Everything is a few bucks cheaper and the shipping is all free. Most of this stuff is warranted through the manufacturer, so it shouldn't be a big deal, should it?

I think you are correct. I was on their site and after I clicked the next page button it was slow to load the page and the status bar read transferring data from egh-newegg.

I've bought a few things from them and I would say they are comparable to the egg. Their part numbers are the same as well ;)

I had some issues with my debit card and address type stuff, but that was resolved with a few calls and my order was shipped promptly. I have some issues with Fedex (1 day from NJ to Ohio hub, 3 days from hub to my house 20 mins away?!), but CV was great.

Just cancelled an order because CV had a $17 better price on a case including shipping. =O

I think more to serve east coast customers better. Quite a few items I've ordered from the egg got shipped from Jersey.
