Chief Justice Rehnquist was murdered to divert America's attention from Katrina.
With America blaming the Federal Govt for it's lousy response in New Orleans, Bush thought up this "Wag the Dog" scenario.
and it's working. W/o a major story like Rehnquist's death, ALL the channels would be do KAtrina stories 24hrs a day and reminding the American public about how the fed dropped the ball.
now if u turn to, say, cnn, they are devoting less time to Katrina and more time to Supreme Court stories now.
