Edit: The alton brown recommendation showed me how to cut a wing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HX6q61JWR4

Don't know if I'll go to the trouble to steam them first, but baking hot wings is easy and awesome.

Hi. I bought some chicken wings from the grocery store for the first time and am now a convert to baked wings. Cutting the joints with a normal kitchen knife is a pain in the ass, though. I'm thinking that a cleaver is the right knife to buy for wings. What's a good <$50 cleaver that I can buy online?

You don't really need a cleaver, just a halfway decent knife. There's a weak point right where the drumstick joins the winglet. When you learn where it is a knife will slide through there like it's butter.

Yep, time to look up the Good Eats episode on chicken wings. All it takes a knowing how to cut and where with a sharp knife and they come apart really, really easy.
