chicken on a raft

I can't understand anything other then the "chicken on a raft" when multiple people sing it.

I don't think it matters.

However I did find an mp3 version of this which is now a wav. SOMEBODY tomorrow is getting their PC startup sound changed. If I get a hold of a particular person's blackberry it will also be a ring tone.

Stay tuned for a "well I'm unemployed" email in the next week or so

OP, you have generously afforded me an enriched and seemingly never ending cultural experience.

Hmm, is there a limit windows places on how long the startup sound can be?

Otherwise this sounds like a very evil idea.

8 minutes 23 seconds and counting. Never ending bliss.

I needed something to erase listening to country death song earlier. Thanks.

I'm not sure how Win 7 or Vista do it, but there was no limit in XP and earlier. In fact before XP the system wouldn't even fully boot until the startup sound was done. I would set it up for the full 17 minute version of In A Gadda Da Vida, and they would have to listen to it at least once before their system could boot and they could change it back. If they really hated it I guess they could go safe mode and change it.

Must had made some great friends then.

indeed, actually now that I look it looks like there was a limit in XP before it'd just stop playing

I don't believe that was the case in 2000, and I specifically remember the computer not booting until it was done.

holy fuck, i want to punch you in the face and give you a beer! thank you so much for this 😀

My all time favorite sea shanty, from the late, great Stan Rogers.

Oh, the year was 1778,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
A letter of marque come from the king,
To the scummiest vessel I'd ever seen,

God damn them all! I was told
We'd cruise the seas for American gold
We'd fire no guns-shed no tears
Now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier
The last of Barrett's Privateers.
