Chicken fried Turkey ?

I've got some ground turkey meat. I'm thinkin....

1) season meat with Chopped Onions and Peppers, a little minced Garlic, and a lot of Worcestire (sp?), and a little salt + pepper

2) let the meat marinate for a couple hours.

3) preheat skillet + a little EVOO

4) roll and flatten turkey meat into thin round patties.

5) cook patties over med-high heat until medium rare.

6) mix Flour + Crushed Saltines for batter

7) beat an egg or two

7) dip patties in flour mixture, then into beaten egg, then back into flour mix

8) turn up heat and add more EVOO

9) fry up the patties

10) gobble em up ??

I'm mostly concerned with when to batter the meat.

Should I cook them first for a bit, like I planned, and then batter and fry them ?

No...im thinking I should just cook them all at once. Ill just batter then while they are raw.

Batter while raw before you grill em.

What time is dinner?

I think it's going to end up being a big mess to tell the truth. It sounds like it wouldn't taste half bad if you can figure out a way to fry them without them falling apart. Personally, I'd go to the store and get a boneless turkey breast, cut it up into medallions and pound them out.

What about batter ?

Do you all think 1/2 Flour, 1/2 Crushed Saltines is a good mix ?

Maybe corn starch ? or bread crumbs ?

Well, I've had the turkey in the fridge for a couple days now.

Plus..I was hoping to make this a grocery-trip free dinner 🙂

oh...maybe I'll make them small like little chicken nuggets. They may hold together easier if they are smaller.

I was thinking the same thing. Why not just make turkey burgers? Craving something fried? 😉

No buns or bread...thats why I figured I would just fry the bun on there 🙂

what about a creative sauce or lite mayo mix ?

any ideas ?

I don't think asking culinary questions to a group that lives off of top ramen, pizza, and  is a good idea. 😉

buy some wonton skins ($.99 for 50 at asian food stores) and make turkey wonton/dumpling. Add salt and pepper, mix the ground meat with some chopped celery, and you're ready to go! Ground meat is perfect for that stuff.
