Chicharrones: The Slippery Slope

Oh man. My mom bought some of these when she took my grandmother grocery shopping today, and I made the mistake of eating one.

Why does deep fried pork fat have to taste so damn good? These things are so bad for you that you can feel the fat building up in your throat after you eat a few of them. And yes, if you eat one, you're going to end up eating more. Or, at least, I will. Damn, so good.

The hot and spicy are too damn good. I buy a bag maybe once a year.

I googled, and this story brought a tear to my eye...

...so they taste THAT good?

Fat-laden...yep, but oddly enough they have almost zero carbs.

One of the few crunchy chip type snacks around for the low carb diet.

Somehow the entire container found its way to my computer desk... I don't know how. I've returned it to the kitchen now, but it's now about half as heavy. It sneaks up on you...

yeah those things pretty much top the list of bad foods. but i hear they are zero-carb!
