Sarah Massey, 33, from Chicago, has a bottom that measures 7ft around

She has to wear extra large trousers and once managed to crack a toilet bowl just by sitting on it but Sarah Massey, 33, says she is proud to have one of the world's largest posteriors.

The Chicago mother-of-two's derriere measures an impressive 7ft in diameter and sometimes proves too large to fit through doorways.

But despite being proud of her record-breaking rear end, 32-stone Ms Massey admits that living with a super-sized bottom isn't always easy and receives $750 in disability benefit each month as a result of having limited mobility.

Now Ms Massey is so proud of her unique physique, she even takes part in risque photo shoots for fans of her figure.

Two things:

It should be a crime for her to get disability just because she is fat.

If she is making money on those photo shoots then she is committing disability fraud and a crime.

'With most doorways I have to go in sideways - I do the little wiggle dance to get through,' she explained.

'I've broken chairs before and I once broke a toilet bowl I was sat on at the theatre - it was awful.'

Despite the negative comments and difficulties fitting through the door and into regular clothes, Sarah says she has no regrets and hopes to inspire other women.

'I'm trying to make the most of what I've been given and being confident about who I am makes me happy,' added Ms Massey.

'If I can inspire others to embrace their curves and be proud big, beautiful women, I would be very happy.'

'Because of my size I can't ever find outfits in normal stores. My top half is a 7XL and my bottom half is 10XL so I have to go to specialists.

'I buy most of my clothes online because there are few plus-size stores with big enough clothes. Larger outfits are expensive so I can spend up to $400 per month on clothes.'

Growing up Ms Massey says she was constantly teased because if her developing behind - and was only chatted up by older men.

'Guys my age weren't interested in me - they liked my skinnier friends. Old guys would hit on me because they appreciated my body.

'Because of that I always ended up in relationships with guys 10, sometimes 20 years older.'

How many times are you going to bump your own thread, Dave?

I agree she should not be receiving disability. I would say the same of many, many people who do, however, and I have a hard time getting all that indignant about $750/mo.

If she cannot support herself, then what are we to do, simply let her die?
I mean, that is the alternative she'd be facing is it not?

Moreover, if we feel responsible for her... perhaps it is our duty, as a society, to force her, even against her will, into surgery / procedures to attempt to "fix" her. To solve the base issue which requires us to support her.

Thus the term slippery slope. We have "good reasons" for "helping" people, but where do we draw the line?

receives £750

Which converts to $1236.60

I am just going to go out on a limb and say she won't be starving to death anytime soon.

EDIT: And besides didn't we learn from the Democrats debt ceiling negotiations that you don't give in to hostage taking?

I am not convinced she cannot support herself. I have in fact worked with a woman heavier than her, and she was able to get herself to work and perform a job. I am generally wary of calling someone "disabled" because of their own lifestyle choices. and this woman is one such example. I am also highly skeptical of paying any able-bodied person welfare for an extended period - I think it's humiliating and corrosive to a healthy, productive society.

LMAO!

A few semi-random thoughts:
7' around is 7' circumference, not 7' diameter.
She holds her head up not from pride, but because her many chins and neck rolls allow nothing less.
Old guys hit on her not because they appreciate her body, but because they knew she'd be desperate.

Obviously men are attracted to her but not for her looks, simply from the massive tug of gravity.

People whose only "disability" is being fat should not receive SSI.

LOL! My wife and I use that same joke; any time we see a really fat woman nearby she'll grab hold of me since I first told her "her gravity well has me!" Clearly young healthy men can escape, whereas for old men the event horizon is beyond visual identification range.

Make it a self-defeating disability check. You're too fat to work so we'll pay you disability - but only if you walk here every day to pick up that day's check. Stay on fat disability long enough and you'll no longer qualify for it.

On the plus side, think how much more Omar will be contributing to our economy.

Yuck! Why does she get disability, it looks like in the photos she could get a job just fine. Unless of course the companies won't hire her because she is so obese. I bet companies would have to accomodate her with special desks and chairs.

Hmmmmm... but she looks like she can get a job doing other things can she not?

The AMA says she has a disease called obesity. So why shouldn't she get disability?

Let's be clear: as a society, failing to provide her with free income because she has eaten herself into being "disabled" is not "letting her die." She chose to gain so much weight she is unable to support herself. She chose this for herself. If she starved to death or died from exposure to the elements as a result, she would be letting herself die, not us.

Government assistance should be offered as a time limited benefit for people who wish to better their situtation, get off the assistance to support themselves, and, ultimately, pay back into the system that gave them the assistance through paying taxes and contributing to the economy.

Simply eating one's self into fat fuckdom to the extent that you cannot sit on a toilet without breaking it does NOT entitle one to free money.

People die every day. Society functions better when actions have consequences.

It always seemed to me that liberals should be the ones to want to police social welfare programs to prevent abuse. It isn't even so much about saving money as it is about fundamental fairness.

Perceiving programs as being in some sense fair is necessary for them to have popular support. Turning a blind eye to cases such as this plays right into Republican hands when they want to end social programs.

The only real reason I can see for liberals not caring about abuse is that they think people have absolutely no responsibility to live their life in a "moral" fashion. It is hard to see how society can function long-term when you see no problem with people screwing each other over.

Well, if chairs can't support her its not that far of a jump to say that she can't support herself either :p

D: The knee fat...I think I threw up a little in my mouth
Which, sadly, is less disgusting to contemplate than is said knee fat. Or whatever that is.

At least she's black. White people who get that fat tend to look as though parts of them are dying, sort of mottled, and her brown skin protects her from that at least.
