Chicago......Transportation Questions

Gonna be visiting Chicago in March.....how easy is it to get around on foot or with public transportation to all the sights?

Also, any recommendations on attrctions and activities?

Haven't booked anything yet hotel-wise, but somewhere within a few blocks of Navy Pier probably...

You won't have any problems with getting around if you are staying in downtown. The bus, el or they even have those trolley busses that will take you to all the good spots. Stay towards the north end of the city (navy pier) because that's where all the night life is at.
