I can't friggin wait for this show.
I haven't seen Novembers Doom live in like 2 or 3 years.
Their new CD that's coming out in February is really really really good.

Anyone else planning on going?

Herman "SHRED" Li (as he was known on Undernet at least) is not a member of these other bands. So I'm gonna have to say no.

Novembers doom is super slow and melodic. They started out in the late 80s doing raw doom metal, now it's sorta a mix of sludge, doom, and death. It's good stuff for those of us who are into it. My personal favorite local band, one of my top 10 overall favorites. Every new CD they release is better than the last. They don't follow the trends, they play their own style.

Martyre is a death metal band. It's very aggressive and fast, but they aren't big on finger tapping or shredding really. Good stuff for those of us who are into the style.

Shatter Messiah I'm not too familiar with. However, I will say they play amazing thrash. Curran Murphy (who has played for Nevermore and Annihilator), is the front man of this band. He can thrash. He is damn good at it. But, Herman Li is pretty much a modern god of shredding, not many can play at his level.
