They used to be st. Paul Federal, and I had no problem with them, I'm sick of paying Charter One's fees on everything, any suggestions in the area?

Best ATM coverage with lowest\no fees is what I'm looking for for a primary checking account.

Thanks.

Chase or Bank of America have the most coverage as far as ATM's and branches.

Are you in the suburbs or the city? In the burbs, if all you're looking for is fee-less checking and good ATM coverage, I'd consider TCF.

Their service can be pretty abyssmal, and they're mostly a convenience bank, but they've got a branch or an ATM in pretty much any Jewel store, a good amount of freestanding banks, and for a regular checking account, there are no fees at all.

I use Citibank, but that's mostly because of the branch on campus and the ATMs found within one of the buildings and the locations of ATMs and branches back at home as well.
