We have an exciting Downtown Chicago client looking for outstanding Functional QA testers.
Consultant will conduct QA tasks using the SDLC, standard processes, and documentation templates.
·Code Reviews: Consultant shall review the code for all projects to which Consultant is assigned. Consultant shall participate in code reviews and provide approval of the related documentation, system designs, and application code.
·Core QA Services: Consultant shall execute QA tasks as documented in the SDLC, and follow standard BT QA processes, on a project-by-project basis, as detailed below:
QA Test Planning
- Create a QA test strategy to outline the test approach
- Derive and document test case scenarios based on requirements
QA Test Execution/Code Certification
- Test installation and running of application code
- Verify corresponding documentation
- Check for inaccuracies or defects
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end system testing
Quality Assurance Request (?QAR?) Bug Reporting
- Participate in system deployments and identification of any system defects
- Produce QA notifications to THE?s ETL team via creation of a bug report
QA Clearance
- Conduct a review with THE Operations prior to QAR clearance/finalization
- Verify that all THE business/technical requirements have been met
Post QA Support: Consultant shall provide support to the following activities after core QA activities have been completed:
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) ? Investigate data anomalies and help to resolve issues and questions in UAT
Post-Installation Follow Up ? Follow up with operations after the project?s application code has been installed in Production
Roles, Responsibilities and Required skills:
Review documentation produced by analysts and designers.
Participate in review of QAR at the conclusion of development
Create and document test cases
Execute test cases and log defects in bug tracking system
Participate in review of installation instructions prior to install in production environment.
Familiarity/Working knowledge of UNIX and SQL required
Familiarity/Working knowledge of Data warehousing/ETL tools preferred
