Does anyone know anything about people arrested in Chicago today, either at Midway or O'Hare?

My friend's girlfriend works a Fairfield in hotel in the area (near Midway Airport). She said they found an Arabic Pilot's license and some other personal ID in one of the rooms. Suposidly the guy wasn't even checked in there. I don't know how or why he would of left his wallet to found by the hotel staff. She said (my friend's girlfriend) the FBI showed up and said... "There is a terrorist lose in the area". That is an actual quote from the FBI, which I find hard to grasp... I don't know why they would want to panic people.

Midway was shut down, and suposidly someone was arrested. I'm not sure if the FBI detained anyone or found the guy that was staying at the Fairfield INN.

Whatever it is, something is going on. I'll post again if I get more info.

Seems like there are alot of "clues" that have been easily found.

Here is a good article speaking on that issue...talking about how some clues may have been planted as part of the plan.

I was thinking the exact same thing (Stratfor.com article). How the hell did the FBI find so many suspects and clues within days of the attacks while it takes them years to apprehend someone from americas most wanted top ten?

<< Even though the suicide hijackers had little to lose, they would want to delay the FBI's investigation -- and the inevitable U.S. military response. >>

In response to the Stratfor article......I don't think that is necessarily the case.

OBL and his followers aren't afraid of the US. Everytime they have kicked us in the balls previously we have tucked our tails and gone home and they have "essentially" won the battle. I think they seriouly beleived that this incident and incidents such as these will/would have led to our complete withdrawl from the Middle East. And if we do attack they seriouly beleive they will be the victors. Not to mention the fact that US mobilization against OBL/Afghanistan will likely polarize the entire region. We may very well be up against Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, et al. if and when we do retaliate......in oher words they'll have plenty of allies.

So in a nutshell, I don't think they really had any reason to hide the "clues". These guys are looking for war.

I don't care how devoted you are to your cause or your religion, these guys committed suicide. If you know anything about suicide, you know it's not a rational action in any sense of the word. You also know that suicide victims (I hardly call these guys victims in this incident though) leave behind a lot of information on their actions, intentions and plans simply because they don't care, they are going to die.
