Anyone heard anything about the planned protests by the anarchists tommorow? I'm trying to decide whether its worth the train money to get to the to the city and photograph it. They are protesting the trans-atlantic business dialogue meeting...

these are supposedly the same people who trashed seattle and cincinatti and the ones always going to washington DC.

I thought you were going to say they are going to protest the trans Atlantic telephone cable. Little late for that though.

I HATE protesters. One of my biggest pet peeves. Do me a favor and jab a hippie in the face and kick him where it counts!

Don't like it, move away. Most of us tend to value 1st amendment rights, even if they don't coincide with our own beliefs.

Actually, you're on the right track. I'll bring a bandana or something along with a bottle of water, just in case. Thanks.

I really really like this guy. Stupid hippy protesters never seem to realize that the big wigs who make decisions do not care about unshowered, unemployed bums whining about something they do not even understand.

Take those people in California protesting an impending war with Iraq - do you really think the U.S. government dudes give a flying F( )CK what they or their signs say?

i dont understand these people

Here in Chicago we are organizing against the Trans Atlantic Business Dialogue, thanks to some encouragement by the sensationalism of the capitalist mass media. One of the first big anti-corporate globalization events to happen here in Chicago.

We wacky anarchists, anti-globalists, artists, protesters, labor activists, environmentalists, culture jammers, south-siders, punk rockers, hip-hoppers, mimes, vegans and other concerned citizens are planning a party for the Trans Atlantic Business Dialogue. You know the corporate creeps over at www.tabd.org. They are meeting November 7th & 8th, in the gentrified downtown area.

Don't you just hate it when rich fat cats come prancing into your town or city? They have big meetings-planning out policies that affect our lives without our input- and then sip on $100 per glass cocktails while saying they want to help "the poor" and that they really "understand" the "worlds problems."

I'm confused are they protesting the prancing or the $100 cocktails? :D

They protest because they're jealous of the lifestyles of people who have real jobs after realizing that getting an art or music degree wasn't so useful after all. That $100 per glass cocktail they whine about is more than an average artist makes in one month, hehe.

People have the right to protest anything that they want to protest; but people don't have the right to deface public and private property, loot, and cause mayhem.
