Chi McBride is a pretty good actor though.
It wasn't the greatest show in the world or anything, but it was pretty good and enjoyable. They did okay in the character development portion.
I wish there would be something else on that is as good as X-Files was.
He's definitely not a bad actor, but I haven't seen many roles of his where he isn't this sort of reserved character with a sordid past. He even had a small role in Waiting 2 (that terrible straight-to-video sequel) where he played a reserved character that taught one of the waiters a lesson (and left a nice tip in return).
For awhile on Human Target, I thought they were going to try and find out how small of an area they could film a fight scene in. They first started with a passenger train, then I think they went to the backseat of a cab and finally an air duct. Mark Valley (also had a short stint on Fringe) did a pretty decent job and Jackie Earle Haley had a fun persona on the show. Although, I didn't like how they developed his character so much as the show went on... they kind of tamed him down a bit.
EDIT:
Lie to Me was awesome... bastards at FOX
Eh, I think Lie to Me was good for Season 1 and alright in Season 2, but the show was just
bad in Season 3. It's kind of understandable, because the season was rushed to fill a void after another show got canceled. I think the biggest problem was that Tim Roth's character was kind of supposed to be like House, but the problem is... I don't think he had the same snarky humor. He just came across as mean.
