This is the RPI dude that got sued by the RIAA for running a search engine within the campus...

Or dumb folks. So this guy caved to them and people are giving him money for that? I'd so much rather see that money going into a fund to battle the RIAA the next time they try something like that.

he had no choice: run more money up in legal fees than he will ever pay back in his life, or give them 12k.

you act like he caved to them. I would like to see you choose a life of debt over a 12k fine on a matter of principal.

I'm glad he is getting it all back. And he didn't completely surrenedering, he is now a poster boy for the anti RIAA types.

exactly. I'd much rather help defend someone who was actually innocent and was being ramrodded than this stupid schmuck.
