Chewing Gum Legal in Singapore again

?It?s ridiculous that it?s easier for 16-year-olds to visit prostitutes than it is to get chewing gum here,? said 22-year old college student Fayen Wong. Prostitution is legal in parts of Singapore ? and no registration is required.

Why is that rediculous? I'd much rather be able to get a hooker than listen to some b!tch smack and pop her gum or step in it walking down the street.

I don't think there is anything wrong in principle with prostitution.

Legend has it that a high ranking bureaucrat stepped on gum one day & had thje stuff banned. I guess they banned it to keep the streets clean.

Things like this make us laugh and shake our heads, but Singapore is an impecably clean city, and feels - because it is - very safe as well. And you don't feel like big brother is about to hang you if you look at police officer wrong or anything. There are some benefits to their take-no-sh*t society.
