These cars (plug-in hybrid) don't make sense to own unless gas price double. And by then, I can imagine electricity price will go up with it.

If you want to save money, get a used econobox. If you want to save the environment, move closer to your work or a city where you can live without a car.

I wanted the Volt to be the game changer we all hoped it would be...

It would have been if it was the car GM has been promising forever. I spent quite a bit of time with the GM guy at the new car show a few years ago grilling him on the Volt and what he said it was going to be sounded impossible, but rather extraordinary if delivered....I guess I was right. I expected GM to drop the ball on this one and they did.
