It's the way they are offered, usually it's in "packages", base, LS, LT, LTZ, ect. I f they offered them ala-cart that would be awesome as then you could order the drive train you want without paying for power everything, heated seats ect. I might be wrong on this model though, I haven't checked into it, it would be cool to bay for a base model and say $500-800 more for the 1.4 turbo and the 6 speed tranny..
